Queens’ newest millionaire

Queens has a new millionaire.
Wu Xiao Yong, who manages a Bayside supermarket, was the latest New York Lottery winner taking home a cool $2 million second place prize in the $500,000,000 lottery Extravaganza game.
Yong, 33, moved to New York in 1991 after living in China, and his wife Wu Xiao Wei received their winnings from the lottery on Wednesday, May 30, however, they have not decided what they are going to do with their newfound wealth. “There (are) just too many things to consider…too many choices to settle on just one thing,” Yong said.
Yong, who bought the winning ticket from Ming Xing Gift Shop in Flushing, was one of 12 second place tickets that were sold.
Instead of receiving his winnings in a lump sum, after taxes, Yong and his wife will receive approximately $64,000 per year for the next 20 years.
