Bayside school kids collect cans

Recently, the National Junior Honor Society of M.S. 158, the Marie Curie School in Bayside wrapped up their food drive, which began last December.
The Honor Society kids, under the guidance of their advisor, Anthony Giorgianni, and their classmates have a lot to be proud about.
All classes in the school pitched in to collect an astounding 1,600 pounds of non-perishable food, which they donated to City Harvest. One social studies class collected 304 items, which will make for a lot of full tummies during winter’s chill.
Shown here, students pack up canned goods for City Harvest’s truck.
