Dwarf Giraffe Roundup

In the boys major division, Keller Williams Realty bested an undermanned MCF Associates team in a hard-fought defensive battle, 43-37. They enjoyed tremendous guard play by David Legaz and Morgan Laplace who led the team in steals. Anthony Andreani and John Gianatiempo led the way in scoring. MCF Associates received strong point guard play from James Gorga and a dominant inside effort by center Stephen Mirtsopoulos.
In the boys minor division, it was another close game at the Dwarf Giraffe building. In an affair that featured 18 lead changes, Bashnagel held on for a 38-37 win over Memorial Park. Rob Schoemig led the way with 12 points and Ismael Nehauis added 10. Thomas Tockarshewsky paced Memorial Park with 13 points while James Callahan contributed 12.
In other action, DePhillips beat JD Opticians, 33-31, Harpells topped Equinox Protection, 25-13, and Greater Whitestone Taxpayers outplayed Cherry Valley Deli, 33-28.
In the girls senior division, B&M Auto topped Cascarino’s, 29-23, for their fourth straight win. Jessica Piccolino led B&M with 19 points while Christa LiTrenta and Katie McGrory each scored four. Britany Naposki scored 10 points and Nicole Naposki scored six for Cascarino’s. In other action, North Fork Bank topped Glover Floors, 26-12.
