The second annual memorial service for Police Officer Eric Hernandez, a former police officer in the 52 Precinct, will take place at the Fordham University church at the Rose Hill Campus, at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 8.
Officer Hernandez was a rookie officer who was killed at a fast-food restaurant while off duty. The shooting occurred at a White Castle at 1831 Webster Avenue on January 28, 2006. Hernandez passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2006.
The community was invited to the prayer service, which will last approximately one-half hour, by the 52 Precinct at the January 24 Precinct Council Meeting.
