A mom and pop business catering to a variety of needs in the Throggs Neck area may be forced out of their space, prompting concern from area residents who want to keep the small business in the community.
Mille and Albert Stone, who operate A & M Beauty Supply and Variety store, at 3813 E. Tremont Avenue, have been given until the end of February to vacate the store they have called home for eight years.
Millie Stone expressed dismay at the action taken by the owners of World Beer and Soda Distributors, who they sublease from. The property is owned by HSBC bank, which declined comment, stating that they have no involvement in the dispute.
