Man Arrested After Hitting, Killing Woman

A man is under arrest and charged after allegedly fatally hitting a pedestrian as she crossed the street.
Police say Jose Cunincalle, 22, driving a van, struck a 65-year-old woman as she was walking in the vicinity of 168th Place and the Grand Central Parkway.
Cunincalle was arrested on the scene and the unidentified victim was taken to Queens General Hospital and pronounced dead.
Cunincalle has been charged with operating a vehicle without a license and leaving the scene of an accident.
