State Senator Frank Padavan is no powder puff, but the Little League team he sponsors in the Hollis-Bellaire-Queens Village-Bellerose (HBQVB) Athletic Association is called the Padavan Powderpuffs.
Like many other Little Leagues, they recently opened their season with a parade to the fields where they play - the Padavan/Preller complex, named in part for the Senator’s generosity.
The girls (in case you thought boys would even consider being powder puffs) play plenty hard, and marched proudly on Saturday, April 12.
