Blaze damages store

Firefighters arriving on the scene of a two-alarm blaze in Whitestone early Sunday morning, June 29, were met by high flames and heavy smoke. The fire was located in a commercial establishment, GKC Enterprises, at 150-44 11th Avenue, and caused heavy damage to the structure and contents. No injuries were reported and the fire was brought under control in just over an hour.
