Everyone should feel for gas attendants

By Stanley M. Glasser, Little Neck

My heart goes out to those gas station attendants who went out in all kinds of weather, sometimes twice a day, to change the prices of gas upward, reflecting the rising cost of a barrel of oil.

Some were even caught short when their pumps were not calibrated to process gas when it hit $4. Last week, a barrel of crude dropped as much as $14.

I guess the weather has been too hot for the attendants to go outside to adjust the prices proportionately.
