Mount Sinai teams with Broadway Cardiopulmonary

The Mount Sinai Hospital has formed a new affiliation with one of Queens’ leading providers of health care - Broadway Cardiopulmonary. In addition to their thriving primary and specialty care practices, Broadway Cardiopulmonary is a recognized leader in cardiovascular care.
“This new agreement underscores our commitment to strengthen health care in the communities that we serve,” said Wayne Keathley, President of The Mount Sinai Hospital. “It creates a world-class continuum of care that leverages the best of both organizations.”
“We have worked with Mount Sinai Queens for many years,” noted Bhupi Patel, M.D., a founding partner of Broadway Cardiopulmonary. “We’re pleased that our patients will benefit even further from the unsurpassed services that Mount Sinai provides.”
Broadway Cardiopulmonary is a multi-specialty medical practice with 35 primary and specialty physicians. The original practice, located at 31-41 45th Street in Astoria, was founded in 1989 by Bhupendra Patel, M.D., William J. Schwartz, M.D., Farah Atallah-Lajam, M.D., and Sachal Badlani, M.D. The practice treats 130,000 patients annually in four office locations - two in Astoria, one in Jackson Heights and one on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
“We’re excited to establish this new agreement with Broadway Cardiopulmonary because it will benefit our patients and our community,” remarked Caryn A. Schwab, Executive Director of Mount Sinai Queens.
“It’s the natural next step,” said Broadway Cardiopulmonary partner Farah Atallah-Lajam, M.D. “By aligning our practice with Mount Sinai, we will be able to provide our patients with truly comprehensive care.”
