BAYSIDE — A Bayside man and a Fresh Meadows man were arrested last Thursday after allegedly stealing a vial of pills from another man’s pocket, the Queens district attorney’s office said.
Ashton Nelson, 18, of Bayside and Antoine Rogers, 23, of Fresh Meadows were charged with robbery and arraigned Dec. 12, the DA’s office said. Their next court date was Dec. 17. If convicted, they each face up to 15 years in prison.
Shortly after 7 p.m. Dec. 11, the victim was in Nelson’s residence on 46th Avenue when Rogers reached into the man’s pants pocket and took out a bottle of the anti−anxiety medication alprazolam before punching him several times and taking his wallet, according to a criminal complaint filed by the DA’s office.
