Cops say man hit another with BB gun

BAYSIDE — A Bayside man was arrested Friday after allegedly hitting a man in the face with a BB gun at the intersection of Northern Boulevard and 201st Street, police said.

John Oplinger, 26, struck the victim with the firearm in a fit of road rage, police said. The blows to the victim’s face caused a laceration and swelling, police said.

Oplinger was charged with assault, police said.
