KEW GARDENS — Police in Queens and Brooklyn were searching for three suspects wanted in connection with 17 residential push−in robberies in the boroughs over the past five months.
The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the following individuals wanted in connection with 17 residential, push−in robberies that have occurred in several precincts in Brooklyn and Queens.
In each incident, the suspects, described as three Hispanic men between 25 and 30, rang the doorbell, displayed a firearm and forced their way into the locations, police said. The suspects took property and fled each scene in a silver or white minivan, police said.
Most of the incidents took place in the 83rd Precinct, which covers the section of Brooklyn directly south of Ridgewood. One robbery occurred Nov. 17 at Cooper Avenue and 60th Street in Ridgewood. The next Queens robbery took place Dec. 1 at Everton Street and Woodhaven Boulevard in Rego Park.
The latest Queens incident occured Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. in Jamaica. The victim, a 72−year−old Hispanic man, was struck in the head and sustained minor injuries in the attack.
