An open letter to columnist Alex Berger:
This letter is to commend you for your April 2 column “Politicians should pay interest on unreported income” in the Howard Beach Times.
What was written was 100 percent correct and it is a pleasure to see something other than the normal left−wing drivel which is in most of the media.
I agree that politicians ought to not just pay interest, but also penalties and prison time. Let some of us ordinary citizens try to cheat Uncle Sam and we would be paying dearly and financially and in the slammer.
It is a disgrace what politicians and the well−connected get away with.
