LAURELTON — A Laurelton man was arrested last week after threatening his estranged wife who had an order of protection against him, the Queens district attorney’s office said.
On May 5 at 12:17 a.m. on 145th Avenue near 240th Street, Michael Blake, who had been barred by a Queens judge from “assaulting, stalking … menacing, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, intimidation, threats or any other criminal offense” against his wife, began to yell and curse at her, according to a criminal complaint filed by the DA’s office.
“I am going to end this right now,” Blake allegedly shouted while raising his fists, the complaint said. When the woman picked up her home phone to call 911, Blake grabbed it from her hand and threw it to the ground, the complaint said.
Blake was charged with criminal contempt, menacing and harassment, the DA’s office said. He was arraigned May 6 and released on his own recognizance. His next court date is May 20.
