If I ask people if they would like to burn more belly fat, I think they would say yes. This week, I spoke with some nutrition professionals and physical trainers who work in the Queens region.
I learned eating the Hass or Florida avocado or fresh grapefruits actually burns belly fat. Every professional agreed if you follow a good diet, even if you only do low to moderate exercise, you will see results. If you already go to the gym to exercise, shorten your rest periods between sets. This means to progressively shave seconds off your rest period because that can help raise your metabolism when working out.
If you have limited time to get to the gym, train your whole body when at the gym. One trainer explained if you could only train two days a week, you could train your upper body one day and your lower body the other. With a decent diet, a person will see results.
If dieting is your real concern, you need to learn about monosaturated fatty acids. This type of fat is considered healthy and targets the fat found in the belly area. MUFAs are “good fat” you must include in every meal for your diet plan to ultimately work. MUFAs come from numerous nut and fish oils you can use and eat that help in burning belly fat.
So How’s Business regarding burning belly fati One constant was weighing yourself every day is not the best motivator when looking to see long-term results in burning belly fat. One health professional mentioned the best motivator is to view yourself in a full-length mirror and weigh yourself every two weeks. Another said taking pictures of yourself every two to three months will let you know just how well you are doing. All agreed this will make dieting and exercising a little more fun, which will get you to keep going. At the end of the day, everyone agreed on three things: do not compare, it will take time and you must put a plan in place. Every professional agreed that a trainer is helpful, but not necessarily needed. The most important ingredient to success is consistency.
