Man in custody folowing rapes

According to reports, a man has been taken into custody after his DNA?allegedly linked him to two rapes.
The first incident occurred on Tuesday, October 27 when the 25-year-old victim exited the Beach 67th Street subway station. The perp, armed with a handgun, forced her to a alleyway in the rear of 330 Beach 67th Street where he sexually assaulted her and took money before fleeing the scene.
Police say the following day a 21-year-old woman was standing at the corner of Beach Channel Drive and Beach 56th Street when she was approached from behind by the suspect displayed a gun and forced her into a building in the vicinity of Beach 56th Street. Once inside, he took the victim to a 6th floor landing where he sexually assaulted her. The suspect took the victim’s purse before fleeing the scene.
The suspect, identified by police as Malcolm Johnson, is charged with predatory sexual assault, two counts of rape in the first degree, two counts of robbery, two counts of unlawful imprisonment and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
