Man dies after being hit by train

A man was fatally struck by the No. 7 train on Thursday, December 10.
The incident occurred at the 179th Street subway station (at Hillside Avenue). Upon arrival, responding officers found the unidentified victim, in his 40s or 50s, unconscious and unresponsive. EMS responded and pronounced the victim dead on the scene. No criminality is suspected and the investigation is ongoing.
