Rego Pk man stole jacket from Queens Center: DA

ELMHURST — Police arrested a man last week for allegedly shoplifting a jacket at Queens Center Mall, the Queens district attorney said.

Ismet Cekic, 40, of Booth Street in Rego Park, was arraigned Dec. 1 after he allegedly took a leather coat from Macy’s the day before, according to the criminal complaint.

Cekic picked up the jacket, removed the price tags and walked passed the cash registers undetected before he was stopped by a police officer, the DA said.
