Supermarket employee stole from biz: Police

BAYSIDE — A 55-year-old Stop & Shop employee was charged with allegedly pocketing money from her workplace earlier this month, police said.

Omauti Budhram was caught allegedly stealing an undisclosed amount of cash from the grocery store on Northern Boulevard Jan. 8, according to police. The woman was allegedly caught on surveillance video placing the money in her purse, the police said.
