SOUTH RICHMOND HILL — The NYPD has asked for the public’s help in finding a man wanted in the June 24 attempted robbery of a 94-year-old woman in South Richmond Hill.
The suspect was described as a 5-foot-6-inch Hispanic man between 30 and 35 years old, 160 pounds, with a mark on his left cheek.
He was last seen wearing a brow T-shirt, police said.
The suspect knocked on the door of the victim, a 94-year-old Hispanic woman, on 115th Street at around 10 a.m. when he pushed his way in the home and tried to grab a chain from around her neck, police said.
When the suspect was unsuccessful, he fled on foot, police said.
The victim suffered minor injuries, police said.
