13-year-old hit by 18-wheeler

A 13-year-old boy was struck and killed by an 18-wheeler gas truck on Monday, August 2 at Fresh Pond Road and Eliot Avenue.

EMS responded to the scene and took the victim, identified as Frederich Endrem to Wyckoff Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of vehicle remained on the scene and was issued three summonses, two for equipment violations and one for operating off truck route.
