HOWARD BEACH — A Brooklyn man was arraigned Friday in Queens Supreme Court on charges he was attempting to spray paint an overpass in Howard Beach and resisted arrest, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.
Johany Quintero-Otero, 28, was allegedly found by police Sept. 30 underneath the overpass at Shore Parkway and 84th Street wearing a green latex glove and standing near two backpacks with 23 spray paint cans of various colors and sizes, according to the DA.
When the policeman, who was not in uniform, said, “Police,” Quintero-Otero allegedly resisted arrest by falling to the ground face down and placed his hands under his body when the policeman requested he give him his hands, Brown said. Quintero-Otero had not yet used the spray paint, according to the DA.
