Jamaica man steals $300 from donut shop: Cops

JAMAICA — A man was charged with stealing $300 at a Dunkin’ Donuts store at 169-04 Hillside Ave. March 24, police said.

Employees of the donut shop observed Carl Jenkins, 47, of 162-05 89th Ave., walk behind the counter and remove a cash drawer from one of the registers at around noon, according to a criminal complaint from the Queens district attorney’s office.

An employee tried to take the drawer back, but Jenkins allegedly snatched it away, cutting the employee’s hand, and fled the scene.
