I watched the royal wedding, as many of my Queens neighbors did, and witnessed much pomp and pageantry of the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
I am in awe of the extravagance of the event. The cost of the wedding could be as much as $70 million if you include the cost of security.
I feel that the opulence was a bit much because there is a lot of poverty, hunger and homelessness due to these difficult economic times.
The money spent could have been better used to help Britain’s neediest.
