Three men wanted for robbing cab driver: Cops

JAMAICA ESTATES — Police were on the lookout for three suspects wanted in connection with a robbery that took place Monday at the intersection of 188th Street and Randor Road.

At about 6:40 a.m., three Hispanic men around the ages of 18 to 24 hailed a livery cab at the intersection of Union Turnpike and Grand Central Parkway, police said.

After the driver began to take them to College Point, the men then allegedly said they had no money and requested he pull over, police said. After he did so, the men allegedly took the driver’s wallet and cell phone, then fled down 188th Street in a gray 2001 Lincoln Town Car, police said.

The first man was about 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds with black hair that he wore in a ponytail, police said. At the time of the incident, he wore a red plaid, long-sleeved shirt and dark jeans. The second man stood at about 5-foot-9, weighed 170 pounds with black hair in a ponytail and wore a dark T-shirt and dark jeans during the robbery, police said. The third man was about 5-foot-8, weighed 180 pounds and was shaved bald, police said. He had tattoos covering both arms, the most prominent a cross on his right forearm, police said.
