Cops need family to ID man’s body in Rockaways

ROCKAWAYS — The NYPD was still waiting for the family to identify a man who was shot and killed Monday.

Police responded to a 911 call at approximately 4 a.m. of a male shot outside St. John’s Hospital, at 327 Beach 19 St.

Upon arrival, officers observed an unknown 20-year-old black male in his 20s with a gunshot wound to the chest.

He subsequently succumbed to his injuries upon being treated at the hospital, police said.

The investigation was ongoing, police said.
