The business networking site whitestonevillage.com recently held an online Halloween costume contest, and the winning photo was not of a spider, but still featured eight hairy legs.
Sexy and Prince, a pair of dogs in a cheerleader and football player costumes, took home first place with 220 votes.
And their owners took home $200 in cash and other prizes from northeast Queens businesses.
Tino Maiolo, the founder of whitestonevillage.com, created the contest as a community activity for Whitestone, and though he only received 29 entries, the number of votes on Facebook were many times that number.
