ASTORIA — The automatic glass door of a Rite Aid, at 33-01 30th Ave. in Astoria, was broken, a piece of the storefront had been knocked off and car parts lay about the corner after a car slammed into it Monday morning.
“She couldn’t control the car and she hit the door,” Angelo Farah, a vendy operator who works nearby, said of the driver and the crash.
Farah said he heard a woman had been driving a Mercedes down 33rd Street when a police car crashed into her, which caused her to hit the building.
The police did not have any further information on the crash.
