Roof Work Closes N. Forest Park Library for Six Weeks

Book Bus Makes Stops Twice A Week

The North Forest Park branch of the Queens Borough Public Library in Forest Hills was closed on Wednesday, Apr. 25, and will remain shut for the next six weeks as a new roof is installed.

During that time, the Queens Library announced that its “book bus” will provide limited service outside the branch every Monday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Library customers can use any other Queens Library locations while the North Forest Park branch is closed. The closest branches are Forest Hills (108-19 71st Ave.), Richmond Hill (118-14 Hillside Ave.) and Middle Village (72-31 Metropolitan Ave.).

Those who have borrowed books or other materials may renew them using the Queens Library’s website, www.queenslibrary.org, or by calling 1-718-990-8508.

The Queens Library thanked City Council Member Karen Koslowitz for funding the improvements at the North Forest Park branch.
