Suspect Struck At L Train Station

Law enforcement agents have released the sketch of a man wanted for raping a 37-year-old woman at the DeKalb Avenue train station on the Ridgewood/Bushwick border in Brooklyn earlier this month.

The sketch of a suspect wanted for raping a woman at the DeKalb Avenue L train station on Apr. 6.

He is described by police as a Hispanic male between 24 and 26 years of age, standing between 5’8″- and 5’9″-tall, weighing between 140 and 150 lbs. with short black hair, brown eyes and a scar below his left lip.

Police sources said the attack occurred at around 3:50 a.m. on the morning of Apr. 6, at the L train station located in the vicinity of Stanhope Street and Wyckoff Avenue.

Reportedly, the woman was grabbed by the suspect and brought to the steps of the station, where he raped her. Following the assault, authorities said, the perpetrator fled from the scene.

The incident was later reported to the 83rd Precinct. The victim was treated for her injuries.

Law enforcement sources said the rapist was last observed wearing lime green sneakers, a black bubble jacket and blue jeans.

The NYPD Brooklyn Special Victims Squad is conducting the investigation.
