Thousands of bicyclists rolled through the streets of Long Island City and Astoria on Sunday, May 6, as part of the TD Bank Five Boro Bike Tour. Considered to be the largest biking event in the United States, about 30,000 cyclists took part in the 40-mile journey, which began at Battery Park in Manhattan and wound its way through the Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn before ending at Fort Wadsworth on Staten Island. The cyclists pictured here are shown traveling along Vernon Boulevard near the Queensboro Bridge.
