Bloody End to a Subway Spat

Pair Sought For Knifing Foe On Train

Two men involved in the stabbing of a 21-year-old man during an argument on a subway train at a Forest Hills station early last Sunday morning, May 20, remain at large as of press time-and police are asking the public’s help in tracking them down.

The suspects wanted in connection with the May 20 stabbing of a man on a Manhattan-bound E train in Forest Hills.

Law enforcement sources released last Thursday, May 24, surveillance camera images of the perpetrators wanted in connection with the early-morning assault on board a Manhattan-bound E train near the Union Turnpike station.

Both suspects are described by authorities as African-American males between 25 and 30 years of age.

Reportedly, the attack took place at around 4:15 a.m. as the train was approaching the Union Turnpike station, located below the intersection of Queens Boulevard and Union Turnpike on the Forest Hills/Kew Gardens border.

Authorities said the 21-year-old male victim was riding on the train when he was confronted by the two suspects and became engaged in a verbal argument with both men.

The dispute reportedly turned violent when one of the perpetrators- whom police said stands at 5’7″-tall, was wearing a white shirt and baseball cap and had tattoos on his arm- pulled out a knife and stabbed the 21-year-old man in the right torso.

After the train arrived at the Union Turnpike station, the suspect and his cohort-described by the NYPD as standing at 5’10”-tall with dreadlocks and wearing a dark-colored jacket and baseball cap-exited the train and fled from the scene in an unknown direction.

Members of the NYPD Transit Division and EMS units responded to the scene. The victim was brought to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing, po- lice said.
