No injuries were reported after a one-alarm fire scorched a laundromat in Maspeth on Monday morning, May 21, Fire Department sources said. Reportedly, the blaze broke out at around 8:20 a.m. at the facility located on Fresh Pond Road near 60th Road. Responding to the scene (in the order of their arrival) were members of Engine companies 291, 271 and 206; Squad companies 288 and 252; Ladder companies 140, 124 and 135; Rescue 4 and Battalions 28 and 46-under the direction of Division 14-along with the 104th Precinct and EMS units. Two hose lines were used to extinguish the flames, an FDNY source said.
