No residents were reportedly injured after a one-alarm fire engulfed the upper floors of an Astoria residence last Thursday afternoon, Apr. 6, it was reported. Fire Department sources said the blaze broke out inside a three-story home in the vicinity of 24th Street and 21st Avenue at around 12:30 p.m. Responding to the scene (in the order of their arrival) were members of Engine companies 312, 263, 262 and 260; Ladder companies 117, 116 and 154; Squad Co. 288; Rescue 4 and Battalions 49 and 45-under the direction of Division 14-along with the 114th Precinct and EMS units. One hose line was used by firefighters to bring the blaze under control, an FDNY source said.
