OAKLAND LAKE — The body of a 21-year-old Queensborough Community College student was spotted floating in Oakland Lake early Monday morning after an apparent suicide, the NYPD said.
The man’s name was withheld, police said, out of sensitivity for his family.
According to police, a man spotted the body floating by while he was fishing in the lake shortly after 8 a.m. There were no signs of violence and the officers were unable to identify how long the body was in the water, police said.
The dead man was wearing a light-colored shirt and dark pants, police said.
