Man hit by LIRR train in Forest Hills dies: Cops

FOREST HILLS — According to police, an unidentified male was struck and killed by a Long Island Rail Road train in Forest Hills Tuesday.

Cops said the victim was on the tracks near the station at 71st Avenue and Austin Street when a westbound train hit him at approximately 4:20 p.m.

The man, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, cops said. No criminality was suspected and the incident was under investigation.
