Mls Cougars Still In the Playoff Hunt

The Martin Luther School Cougars kept their playoff hopes alive after losing the first game 4-0 against Friends, coming back in the second game with a 6-4 victory behind the combined pitching of Kevin Schick and Eduardo Mamut.

The big hit of the game came from freshman Ervin Acosta, who with two outs and a runner on second base singled to left field scoring a run to break a 1-1 tie in the third inning.

Then Giovonni Bojaca, Patrick Kelly and Mamut all doubled and Raul Figueroa singled and scored a run to break the game open.

Martin Luther has one game left; if they win will advance to the PSAA playoffs. Their overall record is 8-7 and their PSAA record is 7-6.
