Things got tense between State Sen. Joseph Addabbo (right) and City Council Member Eric Ulrich at last Thursday’s debate in Middle Village.

Local veterans saluted American soldiers who died in the field of battle during the annual Woodside Memorial Day Parade held by the St. Sebastian Catholic War Veterans Post 870 on Monday, May 28. As shown, the march began with a memorial ceremony at the Woodside Vietnam Veterans Monument at the corner of Woodside Avenue and 57th Street.
