Senior midfielder Harry Kutner earned a Big East Weekly Honor Roll selection after tying a career-high with four goals during a 10-9 loss at Drexel.
Kutner helped St. John’s climb back from an early 4-1 deficit with two second-quarter goals. The Garden City, L.I., native also added two second-half goals that gave the Red Storm a late lead in the contest.
Kutner moved into third place on the team in points with 18 goals and eight assists on the season. He now ranks 15th among St. John’s all-time leading scorers with 81 career points. Kutner has amassed 55 goals and 26 assists during his Red Storm career despite playing in only two games his junior season due to injury.
This is the first Honor Roll recognition of the season for Kutner and the third of his career.
The Red Storm has a quick turnaround with a matchup against Notre Dame at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the Big East Lacrosse Championship semifinal. The tournament will be held at Villanova University with the final at 12 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Both games will be broadcast on ESPNU.
