Police are asking the public for their assistance in helping them find a man who recently held up a Jackson Heights bank. According to law enforcement sources, the heist occurred at 4:05 p.m. on June 22 at the Sovereign Bank located at 75-15 31st Ave. Authorities said the perpetrator-described as a Hispanic male in his 30s standing at 6′-tall, weighing 180 lbs. with a goatee and wearing a brown tshirt and a New York Yankees baseball cap-passed a note to a teller demanding cash. Upon receiving an undisclosed sum of money, police noted, the suspect fled from the scene on foot. The incident was reported to the 115th Precinct; there were no injuries.
