a Challenge to Grow More Funds for Garden

Queens Botanical Garden in Flushing announced the public launch of its Evergreen Endowment Challenge Grant Campaign. As noted, the campaign is inspired by a $100,000 Challenge Grant offered by Saul and Gail Kupferberg, the garden’s treasurer and his wife. The fund is designed to help the garden create a more financially secure future and ensure that it can continue to offer the garden along with innovative environmental workshops and public programs to residents of Queens and beyond. Shown at the kickoff ceremony are (clockwise from left) City Council Member Peter Koo, Queens Botanical Garden Executive Director Susan Lacerte; Garden Chair of the Board Frank Mirovsky; and Saul and Gail Kupferberg.
