BRIARWOOD — Police were asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man suspected of robbing a bank May 4.
According to the NYPD, the suspect entered the Melrose Credit Union, at 139-30 Queens Blvd., verbally demanded an undetermined amount of money. After a teller handed over money, the suspect then fled eastbound on foot along Queens Boulevard.
Police described the suspect as a white man in his 40s, 5-foot-9 with a medium build with a light beard and wearing a tan and blue jacket, blue pants and white sneakers.
