LONG ISLAND CITY — Firefighters battled a two-alarm blaze at 53rd Avenue and 11th Street in Long Island City Thanksgiving afternoon.
At about 3:15 p.m., emergency officials received a report of heavy fire in the one-story commercial structure, the Breaking News Network reported. About 10 minutes later, the blaze had been upgraded to a two-alarm fire, BNN said.
According to BNN, the fire was placed under control at about 4:45 p.m. Friday and firefighters were called to the return to the building after a small fire broke out at about 10 a.m., officials at the scene said.
