UNO Chicago Grill is teaming up with the New York State Volunteer Ambulance and Rescue Association to raise money for lifesaving equipment and facilities that benefit the city’s community volunteer emergency responders following Hurricane Sandy, the chain restaurant said.
UNO’s will donate 20 percent of all checks from patrons that mention the storm relief efforts on Wednesday, Dec. 12, the group said in a statement. All three of UNO’s Queens locations, including Astoria, Bayside, and Forest Hills, will participate during their regular hours of operation from 11 a.m. through 1 a.m., UNO’s said.
All proceeds will go directly to those community volunteer EMS and fire agencies that have been severely impacted, UNO’s said.
