Cops Seek Gunman In Corona Slaying

Detectives are searching for clues in the death of a 24- year-old man who was found shot in the head in the basement of an apartment house in the Lefrak City complex in Corona last Saturday night, Jan. 26, it was reported.

Police found the body of Jahim Campbell, 24, in the basement of a high-rise residence in the complex located on 57th Avenue near 98th Street at around 6:03 p.m. Saturday.

Reportedly, Campbell resided in a Lefrak City apartment house located just down the block on 57th Avenue near Junction Boulevard.

Members of the 110th Precinct responded to the scene after receiving a 911 call regarding the shooting. EMS units who arrived at the location pronounced Campbell dead.

As of press time, no immediate arrests were made, and an investigation by the 110th Precinct Detective Squad is ongoing, police said.
