Say Girl Ran Away Previously

As the Times Newsweekly went to press on Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 27, police were continuing to search for a teenage girl and her infant son who disappeared from their Woodside home last Tuesday, Feb. 19.

Law enforcement sources said that Gabriela Ramos, 16, and her son Alex, age one, were last seen leaving their apartment on 62nd Street between

Roosevelt and 39th avenues at noon last Tuesday.

They were reported missing to the 108th Precinct the following day, Wednesday, Feb. 20, after they did not return to their home.

According to sources familiar with the investigation, there were no signs of foul play involved. Reportedly, the teenager has run away from home previously.

Police said Gabriela Ramos was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and black and blue sneakers; Alex Ramos was reportedly wearing a black jacket, gray sweatpants and blue sneakers.

The investigation is being conducted by the 108th Precinct Detective Squad.
