Burglar Got Nothing from Businesses In Rego Park

Hit Four Locations On Same Block

Law enforcement agents are looking for a man behind a recent series of burglaries on a Rego Park block who entered several buildings but stole no valuables, it was reported.

According to police, the break-ins occurred between Mar. 27 and Mar. 30 at two medical offices, a real estate office and a diner on 63rd Drive between Alderton and Austin streets.

The suspect behind the capers is described by the NYPD as a Hispanic male between 20 and 25 years of age, standing at 5’8″-tall, who was last seen wearing a baseball cap and a white jacket with an unknown logo on the back.

In all four incidents, authorities said, the perpetrator gained entry into each location through the roof or a skylight, but did not remove any property.

Police stated the first incident occurred at about 7:30 a.m. on the morning ofMar. 27, when the burglar accessed a medical office located at 91-10A 63rd Dr., near Alderton Street.

Two nights later, law enforcement sources noted, the suspect struck two neighboring locations after 8 p.m. on Mar. 29: the Exit One Realty office at 91-06 63rd Dr. and a medical office two doors away at 91-10 63rd Dr.

Finally, the burglar reportedly broke into the Shalimar Diner at 63- 38 Austin St., at the corner of 63rd Dr., at around 1 a.m. the following morning, Mar. 30. Though he attempted to steal cash from a register, authorities noted, the would-be crook fled empty-handed.

All of the incidents were reported to the 112th Precinct and subsequently presented to the 112th Precinct Detective Squad for further investigation, police said.
