ELMHURST — A man was hit by a city bus and killed April 3 as he was crossing the street near Elmhurst Hospital, police said.
The NYPD said they received the call of a pedestrian struck at about 7:30 p.m., and when officers arrived they found the man unconscious and unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at Elmhurst Hospital, police said.
Police said the man, who had no identification on him, had stepped into the street from between two parked cars and was hit by a Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus traveling south on Broadway. There were no arrests and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
