Suspect tied to second child sex assault in South Ozone Park

Police believe the suspect wanted for sexually assaulting a seven-year-old in South Ozone Park on Wednesday, inappropriately touched another girl in the area the same day.

The man allegedly came up to the victim, also seven, around 2:45 p.m. as she was sitting on the stoop of her South Ozone Park home and grabbed her buttocks, said police. Her 12-year-old sister, who was also on the stoop, yelled at the suspect, at which time he fled.

According to authorities, the suspect  matches the description of the man who came up to a seven-year-old girl around 6 p.m. that same day outside of a South Ozone Park driveway. He performed a criminal sex act on the girl, then fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a man in his 20s, of dark complexion, 5’11 – 6’1″ tall, 160 pounds, with black hair. He was last seen in a blue hooded-sweatshirt with unknown white writing on the front, dark jeans and carrying a purple backpack.
